I had every reason to be happy today. If anything, my day was practically perfect if you were talking about things going my way.
Yet, I find it incredibly difficult to rejoice with the misfortunes that seem to be afflicting many people who I care about.
It’s not fair to them.
They deserve better.
I don’t deserve this.
