Definitely had a lot of fun with these. For now I’m going to put these away for a week and a half or so before I do some more texture work.
The original concept was a Bay Laurel reaching for the light. I felt that the context was somewhat lost in the night scene, but regardless attempting night time colors was a welcome challenge.
And double thanks to my friend Jen for kicking my ass on colors! Seriously, it took a conquering of a deep fear of going too saturated. Can probably still push the night scene a bit farther on saturation but for now…I think sleep is in order.
